This site is for those who want to get a blessing from God’s Word. The site includes short readings that teach a principle taught in the included King James passages.
The only thing that I know that will permanently change one’s life is the Word of God. I make every effort to get as much of it and its teachings into as many households as I can. The government does not have the real answers to life’s problems. People with good intentions do not always have the right answers either, nor do most of our public education systems. However, the Word of God does have the real answers and truths! That is why reading the Bible is so important!
About the Author:
I was saved on February 10, 1979. Very soon after being saved, the Lord called me to the teaching ministry (Romans 12:7). Since then I have been teaching several times a week. God has allowed me to teach children (36+ years), teens, college students, deaf (20+ years), people in nursing homes (20+ years), Sunday school classes (35+ years), Junior church (35+ years), and many other teaching opportunities.
The ministries I have been involved in include: Christian elementary teaching, deaf ministry, nursing homes, writing, publishing, bus ministry, visitation, music, and Gospel magic.
After I was first saved, the Lord also put in my heart to write about the Word of God, and what it teaches. Although I do not believe I have a natural ability to write, the Lord gave me a good wife, Barbara, that edits most of what I write and has helped me.
On a bus route 30+ years ago, I felt that I should be leaving some biblical principles in the many homes I was visiting each week. The cults were leaving their false doctrines behind, but real Christians, other than an occasional tract, were not getting many biblical teachings into the homes they visited.
It was then that I was burdened to start writing a weekly newsletter to leave in each house I visited. That first newsletter evolved into the Landmark Baptist Banner (used by Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, Florida for 25+ years), and eventually became the Bible View. The free Bible View publication is used by many, many churches all over the world (about 155+ countries last month) and is used as newsletters, Sunday school supplements, and visitation handouts and is available on my other website, www.OpenThouMineEyes.com. At that site there are over 500 free Sunday school lessons, Bible-related puzzles, articles that can be used for church bulletin inserts, and a New Testament daily devotional, The Daily View. On that site over 1.2 million documents (lessons, articles, puzzles, Bible Views …) are accessed most months.
