“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:19
God takes care of all His children. Romanian missionary Patrick Boyle re-confirmed this with an account of how God had met a need before it was even known that it was a need.
“We were in the capital of Romania with an elderly church member for a doctor’s appointment. After looking for the hard-to-come-by parking spot, we found one, pulled in, and there on the ground next to our van was a tire.
“We did not think anything of it, but a young man with us pointed out that the tire was the same exact size as was on our van. We looked it over carefully, found nothing wrong with the tire, and placed it in the van.
“The next day we were driving through a mountain pass, when we ran over a huge boulder lying in the middle of the dark road. We were headed to a church service and had no time to stop, but just continued to drive another hour or so until we arrived. Just as we pulled into the church, the tire went flat. It was then that we noticed the boulder had bent the metal rim of our front tire, and the rubber of the tire was shredded. We could not believe that the Lord had allowed us to make it all the way to church before the tire went flat! Humanly speaking, there was no way that the tire could hold air with the rim bent that badly.
“Just then, we remembered the tire that we had found the day before in the capital. The day before our flat, God provided the replacement. Wow, is God good or what? It is stories like this that remind us of how good our God is and how thankful we are for the faithful group of prayer warriors holding us up in their prayers. Thank the Lord for His goodness!”

A great reminder Bill.
This year me and my husband kept starting seeds for our garden. We had so many seedlings that we had to make more garden beds around the yard. We were like how and why did we start so many? The answer came when a tornado touched down on my garden behind the house and destroyed some of it. God provided for us before the tornado.
We have a such a loving Father who always
takes good care of His children. Where there is a need He always provides for that need. It’s amazing and beautiful the way that He provides.
Our Father is amazing!
The amazing, at least to us anyway, thing about those Godly provisions is that God knew about your need even before the tornado was formed. He knows exactly what our future holds. So, why do we worry?
Read this commentary on Phil. 4:19 in a devotional book (Streams in the Desert):
“What a source – ‘God!’
What a supply – ‘His riches in glory!’
What a channel – ‘Christ Jesus!’
It is my sweet privilege to place ALL MY NEED over against HIS RICHES, and lose sight of the former in the presence of the latter.” C.H.M.
God will always provide the resources we need, either by giving us means and abilities within the natural or by providing in the supernatural when it is impossible in the natural. It is our responsibility (and God’s expectation of us) to use what God has given us for His glory and to trust Him completely whatever.
Truly, why should we worry or doubt when we have such a source, such a supply, and such a channel!
Excellent reminder!
Bro Brinkworth,
God provided me with a Godly and wise wife!
Amen. That is what so many miss in their lives. They try to find a spouse their own way, often lowing their standards and loosen their morals to get one, and end up alone or with the wrong mate. IF folks would just turn that part of their life over to their trustworthy Father, He most likely would get them the perfect spouse. We don’t even know the qualities are perfect mate should have; He does.
I am encouraged…… thank you!
I needed reminded of this. As small as it may seem to God, I am in need of a truck, but don’t have a lot of money to spend. I’m glad God has already provided and picked out the truck for me I’ve just got to find it. I’m thankful for a God who provides things even when we don’t ask, or don’t ever thank Him for it.
Good attitude. We certainly appreciate God and the things more when God provides, and there is no question that it was His provision. I am praying that you get that truck soon.
As it goes Father knows our past present and future smiles
Amen! Me and my family went to our local town fair a few years ago. We really didn’t have the money to go, but I had promised my kids. It was going to cost $125 for us to go. As we were leaving, I checked our mail and there was a check for almost the exact amount from an over payment on a hospital bill! God is definitely good all the time!
