From David\u2019s experiences (many said when the prophet Nathan made David see his sins of adultery and murder), we read how one is happy and relieved when one\u2019s sins are forgiven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All the anguish the king bore from his past sins was forgiven, as can a person\u2019s iniquities today. In David\u2019s era, a sacrifice in the Temple would temporarily cover the sins of the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today is different. We do not have to present our sacrifices to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One perfect sacrifice was given to cover ALL one\u2019s iniquities. The perfect sacrifice was God\u2019s only son, Jesus. Those who admit their sinnership and trust Jesus\u2019 great gift to mankind can have all their sins forgotten and forgiven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today\u2019s forgiven person can have as much happiness (\u201cblessed\u201d \u2014 Psalm 32:2) as did David when His iniquities were forgiven. To have the peace that one\u2019s sins are under the sacrificed blood of Christ is a most appreciated blessing. David also knew about that peace as when he was forgiven, he could sleep peaceably, and the pressure of guilt was gone (Psalm 32:3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">King David got that peace that surpasses all man\u2019s understanding when the sin was confessed to God (Psalm 32:5). Although nothing is ever hidden from God, we must humble ourselves to the Lord and admit our transgressions. David confessed, and the burden of guilt was lifted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have all sinned. Most know what it is like to carry a heavy guilt load because of our iniquities. It brings great peace and comfort to know that we are forgiven and cleansed by the blood of Christ.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we stand before the Lord at the appointed time, we will not have our sins charged to our \u201caccount.\u201d They are all paid for by what Jesus did for us!<br><em>\u201cThat if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.\u201d Romans 10:9<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Today\u2019s Thought:\u00a0<\/strong><br><em>\u201cAnd be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ&#8217;s sake hath forgiven you.\u201d Ephesians 4:32<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Words to Understand:<\/strong><br>Guile: deceit<br>Imputeth: to charge<br>Iniquity: sin<br>Maschil: To understand, to receive instruction<br>Roaring: cry of distress<br>Selah: stop and mediatate on what was just written, also a music rest<br>Transgressions: breaking of moral law<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">T<strong>oday\u2019s Reading:<br><\/strong><em>Psalm 32<br>1 A Psalm of David, Maschil. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.<br>2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.<br>3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.<br>4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.<br>5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.
