In Psalm 16:8-10, the verses talk about the Messiah&#8217;s future (then) coming. New Testament verses refer to these scriptures and reveal that Jesus was being discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peter in Acts 2:25 referred to some of Psalm 16:8: \u201c \u2026 he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:\u201d.\u00a0He was talking about Jesus when he quoted much of the verse about the Lord:<br><em>\u201cFor David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:\u201d Acts 2:25<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, in Acts 2: 27, Psalm 16:2 is referred to as a prophecy when Jesus led Old Testament saints from Hell, which was different than it was then (Luke 16:26). The Acts 2 verse talked about Jesus when he led (Ephesians 4:8) the Old Testament saints out of their non-tortuous place in Hell \u2014\u00a0\u201cAbraham\u2019s bosom (Luke 16:26).<br><em>\u201cBecause thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.\u201d Acts 2:27<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If there is doubt that these Psalm 16 verses spoke of Christ 1060 B. C., Acts 2: 31 takes away any question and identifies that David prophesied about Jesus.\u00a0<br><em>\u201cHe [David] seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, \u2026 34 \u2026 but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,\u201d Acts 2:31-34<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul also referred to Psalm 16:9 when he revealed that David prophesized about Jesus.<br><em>\u201cWherefore he [David] saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption \u2026 37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.\u201d Acts 13:35-7<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David, who would be the great, great\u2026 grandfather of Jesus, was given details of what Jesus would do when He came.&nbsp;The Jews, and even those today, have no excuse for not accepting that Jesus Christ is the prophesied Messiah.&nbsp;Jesus came just like David and other Old Testament prophets said He would.&nbsp;Have you trusted Him to save your soul from eternal punishment?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s Thought:&nbsp;<\/strong><br><em>\u201cAnd when the centurion, which stood over against him <\/em>[Jesus]<em>, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.\u201d Mark 15:39<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Words to Understand:<\/strong><br>Michtam: poem<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s Reading:<\/strong><br><em>Psalm 16<br>1 Michtam of David.
