This ancient Hebrew song in Psalm 9 did just that; it bragged about God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David made it clear to others:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What marvelous things God had done in his life (vs. 1).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How God protected the King (vss. 3-8), and how the unsaved should fear their Creator&#8217;s mighty power and righteous judging.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Lord is a safe place and protection for all (vss. 8-10, 13).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>God does not forget the pleas of those desperately needing protection (vss. 12, 18).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That the ungodly will reap the consequences of the sin they sow (vs. 13, 15-17, 19-20).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s Christians have a similar responsibility to tell others about how God works in personal lives and how he watches over His own.&nbsp;If we do not tell them, who will?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of many Christians\u2019 silence on praising God for what He has done, the world knows little of how God is working in lives today.&nbsp;Perhaps that is why so many cry there \u201cis no God\u201d because they have heard nothing He has done.&nbsp;He has not been praised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be a David and brag on God.&nbsp;He deserves our praise and recognition for what He has done and is doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s Thought:\u00a0<\/strong><br>\u201cHe who counts the stars and calls them by their names is in no danger of forgetting his children.\u201d \u2014 Charles Spurgeon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Words to Understand:<\/strong><br>Higgaion: a musical notation indicating to be solemn<br>Inquisition: to ask<br>Muthlabben: \u201cTo die for the son,\u201d is quite possibly a title from a known song.<br>Perpetual: never-ending<br>Rebuked: corrected<br>Satest: sit down to make a judgment<br>Selah: stop and meditate on these things, \u201cthink about it,\u201d a musical rest<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s Reading:<\/strong><br><em>Psalm 9<br>1 To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben, A Psalm of David.
