He was weary of all the hours and nights he thought and struggled over the obstacles he faced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, no matter what he faced and what troubled him, he knew that he would be victorious.&nbsp;He was confident that God heard his earnest pleas (vss. 6-8) and would deliver him from the worrisome challenges and trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s obedient Christian should also have that type of confidence.&nbsp;When God knows we are relying on Him and is sure He will give us victory, we can have the same peace the King had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our tears and earnest pleas will not be for naught (vs. 9).&nbsp;We are on the winning side and will have answered prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s Thought:&nbsp;<\/strong><br>\u201cFaith is the firm persuasion and expectation, knowing that God will perform all He has promised to the believer in Christ; and this persuasion is so strong and complete that it assures the believer of possession, even NOW, of those things for which we exercise faith.\u201d \u2014 Oliver B. Greene<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Words to Understand:<\/strong><br>Iniquity: sin, crime<br>Mercy: compassion and kindness that overlooks the errors and weakness of another<br>Neginoth: stringed instrument<br>Sheminith: a musical term thought to refer to eight strings or an octave. Others think it may be an eight-stringed lyre.<br>Supplication: request, entreaty<br>Waxeth old: grows or gets old<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s Reading:<\/strong><br><em>Psalm 6<br>1&nbsp;To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.
