That is a humbling thought, but it is God\u2019s opinion and the one that matters the most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noah Webster defined foolishness as \u201cvoid of understanding or sound judgment, weak in intellect (applied to the general character), unwise, silly, vain, trifling, ridiculous, sinful\u2026.\u201d&nbsp;In the book of Proverbs, at least 42 verses deal with foolishness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is how God defines foolishness in Proverbs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A fool desires to do wrong and does not think of the consequences.<br><em>\u201cIt is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.\u201d Proverbs 10:23<br>\u201cA wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.\u201d Proverbs 14:16<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A fool follows his ideas and is not concerned about others. He gets angry when others tell him what to do.<br><em>\u201cHe that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.\u201d Proverbs 28:26<br>\u201cA fool despiseth his father&#8217;s instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.\u201d Proverbs 15:5<br>\u201cA fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.\u201d Proverbs 18:2<br>\u201cSpeak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.\u201d Proverbs 23:9<br>\u201cHe that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.\u201d Proverbs 11:29<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A fool lets his opinion be known right away.<br><em>\u201cA fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.\u201d Proverbs 29:11<br>\u201cA fool&#8217;s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.\u201d Proverbs 12:16 Also: Proverbs 13:16.<br>\u201cA fool&#8217;s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.\u201d Proverbs 18:6 A fool does not know when to be silent and listen, even when his words are hurting others and causing others to be at odds with him.<br>\u201cSeest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.\u201d Proverbs 29:20<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A fool minds everyone else\u2019s business.<br><em>\u201cIt is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.\u201d Proverbs 20:3<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A fool does not learn from his mistakes.<br>\u201cAs a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.\u201d Proverbs 26:11<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A fool does not believe there is a God. Although found in the book of Psalms, he is another person God identifies as a fool.<br><em>\u201cThe fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.
