The reason, especially for the child of God, may be that He is directing one\u2019s path in the direction He knows is best for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Often, we have our plans and goals, but too frequently, they do not align with God\u2019s will for our lives.&nbsp;We may dream of being a doctor, nurse, pilot, police officer, or pursuing our interests, but we never even consider what God has in store for us to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No one knows us better than God, and he may know that the direction we desire for ourselves may hurt and keep us far from what is best for us.&nbsp;Each of us has unique abilities, and only God knows what they are and where they should be best utilized in this needy world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a visually handicapped person may need more guidance than a seeing-eye dog or a prodding white cane, so do we.&nbsp;We think we know best, but are often blind to what is truly good for us.&nbsp;Unknowingly, westumble through the darkness of our future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we are about to make wrong steps in harmful directions, it is then that the Lord may step in and redirect us.&nbsp;Often, we may not like where we are going, but trusting faith should remind us that God knows best. His way will be better for us than we could ever have imagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Today\u2019s Thought:&nbsp;<\/strong><br><em>\u201cThe steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.\u201d Psalm 37:23<br>\u201cFor he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.\u201d Psalm 91:11<br>\u201cHe will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.\u201d Psalm 121:3<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Words to Understand:<\/strong><br>Enticeth: tempt; attract<br>Froward: purposely defiant and disobedient<br>Haughty: prideful; arrogant<br>Hoary: gray or white with age<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Today\u2019s Reading:<\/strong><br><em>Proverbs&nbsp;16<br>1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.<br>2 \u00b6 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.<br>3 \u00b6 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.<br>4 \u00b6 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.<br>5 \u00b6 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.<br>6 \u00b6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.<br>7 \u00b6 When a man&#8217;s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.<br>8 \u00b6 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.<br>9 \u00b6 A man&#8217;s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.<br>10 \u00b6 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.<br>11 \u00b6 A just weight and balance are the LORD&#8217;S: all the weights of the bag are his work.<br>12 \u00b6 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.<br>13 \u00b6 Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.<br>14 \u00b6 The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.<br>15 In the light of the king&#8217;s countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.<br>16 \u00b6 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!<br>17 \u00b6 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.<br>18 \u00b6 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.<br>19 \u00b6 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.<br>20 \u00b6 He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.<br>21 \u00b6 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.<br>22 \u00b6 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.<br>23 \u00b6 The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.<br>24 \u00b6 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.<br>25 \u00b6 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.<br>26 \u00b6 He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.<br>27 \u00b6 An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.<br>28 A froward man soweth strife: and a
