Many claim not to trust in any \u201cgod\u201d but rely on things, including money, to be what they hold in high esteem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are encompassed by false beliefs everywhere we are. David realized this.&nbsp;Knowing he was outnumbered by heathens and unable to talk to most about the Lord, the King made his beliefs public when he had the opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the weather was good and the crops were bountiful, David made it public that God was the one who blessed the harvest and the weather. After being victorious in battle, he gave God credit for the triumph. When prayers were answered, David praised the Lord for what He had done.&nbsp;He made an effort to make the ungodly aware that a God in Heaven was blessing him and helping His people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We, too, have such a responsibility.&nbsp;The world is discouraged by \u201cGod is dead\u201d nonsense and hearing nothing positive and anything to substantiate that God is alive and still working in lives. Many have not been taught about our mighty God or made aware of what He is doing in our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The unsaved have heard watered-down statements about how there is a God, but they have seen no proof of His working.&nbsp;An appreciative Christian can change their ignorance.&nbsp;The believer can make it known to the lost world that God is alive and at work in the lives and hearts of people daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before I was saved, I am ashamed to admit that filthy, four-letter words often tainted my speech. It was a vocabulary that the world was used to hearing, and never raised an eyebrow over my obscene language.&nbsp;After being saved, I was quickly rebuked by the indwelling Holy Spirit that I should not be speaking those words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rather than utter filth, I was convicted of using the voice God gave me to praise His name rather than curse it.&nbsp;No matter who I was with or where I was, almost every other paragraph had, and still does, have a few words praising the Lord for what He did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I look for every opportunity I can to give credit to God. In board meetings with top management, I \u201cpraised the Lord\u201d when they mentioned improved earnings.&nbsp;The plumber heard a \u201cpraise the Lord\u201d when he fixed a leaking pipe. After waiting in a McDonald\u2019s line to give my order, I politely said, \u201cPraise the Lord, it\u2019s my turn.\u201d The woman taking an online order also heard my \u201cpraise the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wonder how many people have never heard God given credit for what He has done?&nbsp;What must they think when they hear a stranger give Him credit for what He did?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many must be reminded that there is one God who is doing something in someone\u2019s life.&nbsp;\u201cWhy isn\u2019t He doing anything in my life?\u201d They may have wondered.&nbsp;Who knows where their thought process will journey?&nbsp;However, praising God puts Him at the forefront of their minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We, like David, are surrounded by those who do not worship the living God.&nbsp;They must hear that our God is alive and at work in lives.&nbsp;Their false \u201cgods\u201d and beliefs are not doing anything because they do not exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We must let everyone know our God is the only One.&nbsp;We can start by unashamedly proclaiming that He is alive and still at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Today\u2019s Thought:<\/strong>\u00a0<br>\u201cPraise is the rehearsal of our eternal song.\u201d\u00a0\u2014 Spurgeon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Today\u2019s Reading:<\/strong><br><em>Psalm 138<br>1 A Psalm of David.
