Eventually, the world\u2019s government will be centered there during Christ&#8217;s millennial (1,000 years) reign.<br><em>\u201cThe word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD&#8217;S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.\u201d<br>Isaiah 2:1-2<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God loves Zion (Psalm 87:2). It is referred to as the City of God (Psalm 87:3).&nbsp;That should be considered when Muslims attempt to seize it for their false religion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zion will be where God will choose to dwell, and it is certainly not a place that will house false doctrines. However, during Christ\u2019s reign, it will be a place where many nations will be united to God.\u00a0It will be nothing like the place it is today.<br>\u201c<em>Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. 11 And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.\u201d Zechariah 2:10-11<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under Christ\u2019s leadership, many nations that have been at odds with Israel will become citizens there. These new occupants of Jerusalem will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Egyptians (\u201cRahab\u201d),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Babylonians (Philistines),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Phoenicians (from Tyre),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And Ethiopians (vs. 4).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>During Christ&#8217;s reign in Jerusalem, there will be a different atmosphere than today.\u00a0The violence and tension to take the city away from the Jews who are in their God-given land will be removed.\u00a0Rejoicing will return to Jerusalem when Jesus reigns from that city.<br><em>\u201cAs well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.\u201d<br>Psalm 87:7<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s Thought:<\/strong>&nbsp;<br><em>\u201cAt that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.\u201d Jeremiah 3:17<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Words to Understand:<\/strong><br>Babylon: This Hebrew word means \u201cconfusion,\u201d and is a town where the language of the people were changed to confuse the people (Gen. 11:9) and to stop the building of a building that was intended to reach Heaven.<br>Rahab: some claim that this \u201cRahab\u201d is referring to Egypt not to Rahab the Harlot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s Reading:<\/strong><br><em>Psalm 87<br>1 A Psalm or Song for the sons of Korah. His foundation is in the holy mountains.<br>2 The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.<br>3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.<br>4 \u00b6 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.<br>5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.<br>6 The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there.
