“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting [indulging an appetite], and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.” Luke 21:34

“But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.” Isaiah 28:7-8
“Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.” Hosea 4:11

- Pray for Mary, who is having problems at home, and for making the right decision on handling the situation.
- Pray for Gary Riggs. He is blind and has severe eye pain. The first surgery did not ease the pain. Pray the doctor will have wisdom to be able to help Gary.
- Barney and Thelma have an unspoken prayer request that they would like others to pray for also.
- Carolyn Gillett requests prayers that God will open up the right job opportunity for her soon and provide for her needs as she trusts His timing. She has been unemployed for 4 1/2 months and relies solely on herself for income.
- Connee Burton asks for prayers for her husband, Jim, who is under home hospice care. His cancer has returned, and his kidneys are not doing well. Pray for Connee also, as she is caring for him until he is in the presence of our Saviour.
- Bill Brinkworth would like prayers about healing a urinary infection and getting antibiotics that will not raise his blood pressure or affect the liver.
- Pray for America, her leadership, that righteousness will prevail, and ungodly influences will decline and be exposed.
There’s a world out there struggling, hurting, and desperately needing the Lord’s help. YOU can make a difference in another’s life if you summon God’s intervention on their behalf. Please pray for other’s needs!
Send prayer requests to brinkworth@frontier.com
** All prayer requests and articles will be published at least twice so more people have the opportunity to read the testimonies and needs. Please keep the prayer needs coming! Entries may be edited. **
Love of Sin
T. Watson
It is worse to love sin than to commit it. A man may commit sin through a temptation, or of ignorance, and when he knows it to be sin, he is sorry for it. He who loves sin, however, puts his will into the sin and heaps the danger onto one’s life. The heart is allowing it to continue, and sin’s consequences will reap much havoc.
Learned Sympathy
W. M. Taylor
Harry the Eighth, wandering one night in the streets of London in disguise, was met at a bridge by some of his castle’s guards. Not able to convince them of who he was, he was carried off to the jail, and shut up for the night without food, a heating fire, or a candle to light the dungeon.
On his liberation, he made a grant of thirty caldrons of coal, a large quantity of bread, and candles for the night prisoners in the prison. His experience taught him sympathy.
Those who have felt sharp afflictions, terrible tragedies, and forceful temptations can be zealous in consoling those in a similar condition. Our “hard times” can be a time where our character is improved, and our new-found compassion can be used to encourage others.
“Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” II Cor. 1:4
Wise Words:
“Sin will never satisfy! In the end, the short-lived happiness becomes sadness, the thrill becomes a nightmare, and the pleasure becomes an addiction. Sin never keeps its promises.” — Dr. Michael Brown.

That’s all you will ever find on the sites! The other perversions are not Bibles, they are man’s opinion of what they want God to say!
